Smith To Give Final Speech As MP

Former Speaker Lockwood Smith will make his valedictory speech at 5.30pm today.
When Parliament resumes today MPs are scheduled to return the debate on the Prime Minister’s statement after Question Time.
There is one hour and ten minutes remaining in the set piece debate
The next item of business on the Order Paper is the interrupted second reading debate on the Environment Canterbury (Temporary Commissioners and Improved Water Management) Amendment Bill.
