Published: Wed 26 Sep 2012 10:37 AM
A bill promoting mining will be debated in Parliament this afternoon.
Following Question Time and the General Debate, MPs will return to the interrupted first reading debate on the Crown Minerals (Permitting and Crown Land) Bill.
Phil Heatley said in the House last night that the omnibus bill aims to promote mineral prospecting, exploration, and mining.
This will be followed by the committee stages of the Customs and Excise (Tobacco Products-Budget Measures) Amendment Bill and the National War Memorial Park (Pukeahu) Empowering Bill.
