Welfare And The Economy Debated

Following Question Time, MPs returned to the interrupted debate in reply to the Speech from the Throne.
National MPs focussed their speeches on the state of the economy, their plan to improve the situation and attacks on Labour’s record in office.
Labour MPs spoke on a number of subjects with child poverty and the Government’s welfare reform proposals a major focus.
At 5pm the debate was adjourned and the House went into committee to examine the National Animal Identification and Tracing Bill.
