The last time New Zealand witnessed a protest of this size was when the previous Labour Government moved to allow genetic engineering to occur in New Zealand. It failed to listen to the people, the party reached tipping point, where its popularity with voters slowly bled until its defeat in 2008. Can May 2010 be defined as when National reached tipping point?
