Writers and Readers Week: Once Upon A Deadline Stories Now Online
On Monday night the Arts Festival's Writers and Readers week opened with the read-off for the 'Once Upon a Deadline' competition.
During the day, seven New Zealand and overseas writers were sent out into Wellington with a laptop, a schedule of locations and orders to produce a 1200 word story to be judged at the read-off.
Dianna Fuemana beat out the competition with her story The Necklace. Defending champion David Geary won the people's choice award for Daddy's Going Potty.
Stories produced for the competition are available for download via the Arts Festival's Once Upon A Deadline page.
