Scoop's Selwyn Manning and Radio Adelaide's Peter Godfrey discuss how the Prime Minister John Key is off today for New York City where he will speak to the United Nations general assembly on nuclear-free New Zealand, multi-lateralism, and climate change. While in New York, Key will meet with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, US President Barack Obama, attend a climate change conference, and be a guest on the David Letterman Show.
Also discussed, New Zealand's road toll is creeping higher and a Ministry of Transport report shows speed is the main contributor to road deaths.
