Scoop Audio: Audio on Demand of NZ Prime Minister John Key's post cabinet press conference. Today he announced his intention to pass the first Auckland Governance bill under urgency, and also fielded several questions about the Royal Commission’s proposal for Maori seats.
In other matters the Prime Minister said he would be giving his only pre-budget speech at the Duxton hotel on Thursday, and that the National Party will announce their candidate for the Mt Albert By-Election this evening.
The Prime minister was also questioned extensively on the government’s use of purchase advisers and, after a conversation with Pita Sharples today, the Prime Minister says Ministers from the Maori Party are unlikely to travel to Fiji “unilaterally”.
