Residents in Akaroa will need to conserve water over the next 48 hours after a major leak in a pipe connected to the local reservoir. The reservoir which supplies water to Akaroa is very low on water after a large quantity was lost due to a burst pipe. More >>

Weather: Second Storm Hits
Police are dealing with a lot of incidents due to the weather. There have been a large volume of calls reporting trees across roads and big wind gusts in the Manawatu,Horowhenua areas right up to Waiouru. Weather Bombs: MetService Says More Rain Coming
Severe weather warnings for heavy rain from Tuesday afternoon have been issued for Northland, Coromandel, Western Bay of Plenty and northern Gisborne, and these regions are also likely to experience northeast winds up to gale force. On Wednesday severe southeast gales are likely to affect Taranaki, Wanganui, Manawatu, Kapiti, Wellington and Marlborough. More >>
