Jose Ramos-Horta Shot, Undergoing Surgery
Timor-Leste President Jose Ramos-Horta is currently undergoing surgery by an Australian medical team at an ADF military base in the capital Dili, after being shot during an attack by rebels. "President Ramos-Horta was shot in the stomach and is undergoing surgery at the heliport," the adviser, Agusto Junior, told Reuters.
