David Parker has resigned from the position of Attorney General in the Cabinet. He keeps his other cabinet positions.
The resignation was announced around 20 minutes ago at Parliament.
Scoop will provide audio of his and the Prime Ministers Press Conferences shortly.
The resignation was prompted by a story in Investigate Magazine by investigative journalist Ian Wishart.
Last year Wishart made certain that John Tamihere wouldn't be returning to cabinet when he published a transcript of an
full and frank interview with the former maverick Labour MP.
