Former ACT MP Awatere-Huata Found Guilty Of Fraud
Scoop Report: Wi Huata and Donna Awatere Huata have been found guilty on charges of Fraud and perverting justice. The verdict was announced minutes ago in the Auckland District Court.
A jury of nine women and three men heard the case and adjourned yesterday evening without a verdict. The case was heard before Judge Roderick Joyce.
The disgraced former ACT Party MP, Donna Awatere Huata and her husband Wi Huata had denied a total of seven charges. Each faced four joint charges of fraud and one joint charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice. Awatere Huata faced two additional fraud charges.
