This week Auckland University faces another critical desision in it's student union structure. Should students be allowed to decide whether they become a student union member? Or should it be compulsory? Auckland University Students Association stands to either make or loose a lot of money. The voting forms go out this week, and today we hear both sides of the argument. Old school Graeme Watson ex union president (who also has ties with the ACT party) is all for voluntary membership, while Scott Kelly the current student president wants it to be compulsory.
Randall speaks to Michael Meacher Former British Environment Minister, here to give evidence to the select committe on the NOOM bill.
We speak to Kim Muncaster from WSPA about the sale of Soloman Islands Dolphins
