Images: NIWA’s Giant Glatinous Octopus Find

This blob is the giant glatinous octopus ( Haliphron atlanticus), found by National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Scientists off the Chatham Rise, south-east of the Chatham Islands.
The four metre long giant is the largest reported octopus ever found.
