Plane Comes Down In Queens

Published: Tue 13 Nov 2001 09:12 AM
An American Airlines plane enroute to the Dominican Republic has crashed into the New York suburb of Queens just after take-off from Kennedy Airport.
The cause of the crash is unknown but early reports suggest an engine fell off although a whole wing has been reported to have been found in the Bay suggesting something more than mechanical failure caused the crash.
