11:54 IDF briefly enters Ramallah; one soldier killed
The IDF briefly entered Ramallah with tanks and infantry early this morning. IAF helicopters supported the ground
forces. IDF tanks shelled several empty PA military posts, while the infantry soldiers arrested PA soldiers wanted for
perpetrating attacks against Jews. Arab forces based in the city opened fire on the IDF force, and several gunbattles
ensued.
One IDF soldier was was killed by Arab forces during the gunbattles.
After several hours, IDF forces retreated from the city.

One of the Jews who was shot by Arab forces several hours ago has died of the wounds he sustained in the attack. The
victim was one of two people shot when Arab forces opened fire on Jews travelling along Yigal Yadin Blvd, bewteen the
Jerusalem neighborhoods of Ramot and French Hill.
He was pronounced dead at Hadassa Ein Karem hospital, in Jerusalem.
