Prostate cancer 'less politically glamorous' – English
New cases of prostate cancer in men were higher than new cases of women with breast and cervical cancer put together for 1995 to 1997
A prominent politician mentioning prostate cancer is very unusual. Mr English (whose wife is a medico) recently did so and should be encouraged. His comment prompts me to point out a few facts.
The ruthless refusal to research causes of this epidemic - the only rapidly-growing large category of cancer in NZ lately, 600 deaths/y increasing 4%/y - or to institute PSA screening for men over 50 is not only a hint that the Ustasi shambles (of which Mr English was formerly Minister) is dominated by vindictive man-haters but also evidence that medical research is now dominated by feminazis and wimps.
Cervical cancer kills about 80/y, and is reasonably treatable if caught early (but the Pap smear is NOT a good early test). Over $6M/y is wasted on that minor cause of death, to promote that bad test onto 90% of the relevant women - to no known good effect and a great deal of misled neuroticism.
About $2M/y is wasted by the cervical screening farce in the Auckland region, whereas the hospital lab gets $0.038M/y for the small number of elective PSA blood tests and has been threatened by a callow accountant with a budget cut.
The Cancer Society says the pulse of prostate operations that would be revealed as necessary for a few years after PSA screening was instituted would cost a few dozen million dollars. More practically important is that urology training has been almost stopped in Auckland. The surgeons haven't been trained for these difficult operations. But none of that is a good reason to refrain from detecting prostate cancers.
In case you were in any doubt - feminazis rule. Worse, nearly all men have become wimps. I sent Michael Baker M.B a brief article on PSA screening for the 'public health' periodical he edits and he repeatedly failed to acknowledge. The man-haters want men to suffer in the genitals, and the wimps are implementing their Nazi-like policies. Robt Beaglehole, now in Geneva to serve his wife Bonita Banana (head of WHO noninfectious diseases division), Skegg, Cox, the Cancer Society, . . . wimp stooges all for feminazi policies. A genuine expert prostate pathologist (Dr Ronnie Cohen) was treated insolently by feminazis in the health system and quit for the much better scene in Perth. The urology ward in Auckland Hospital, in my observation as a patient, is controlled by wimmin who want men to suffer pain. At least the Nazis were purporting to learn by research; these harpies are simply maltreating men for ideological motives and not even doing any research. The president of the RACS was "in charge" of them but, as I found, completely under their thumb when I complained to him about them.
An advertising agency has been allowed to foist on the Cancer Society an obscene TV ad exploiting the perverted misbehaviour of a disgraced League player, to discourage men from undergoing prostate examination. But anyhow the old 'digital rectal' test is far less useful than the PSA blood-test.
Mr English is so right when he says this much more important cancer test is 'less politically glamorous' than the mischievous cervical cancer screening. When will justice return to our health system?
