Supercomputer Weather: Easter Rain Over Washington

According to the NOAA supercomputer New Zealand will not be the only part of the world celebrating Easter in the rain this year. The above picture from the shows a large rain event – extending from Canada to Florida - centered approximately over Washington D.C. on Easter Saturday, 14th April.
Rain is shown in the image in the coloured lines with each line representing a mm of rain.
The series of maps shows approximately 70mm of rain falling on the Washington DC area over a three day period. The April rains in D.C. are forecast to be accompanied by winds of up to 30knot. Temperatures in the mid teens on Saturday are forecast to fall to 5 degrees centigrade on Easter Sunday.
The links below forecast the path of the rain storm over the Eastern Seaboard from Good Friday April 13th through to Easter Sunday April 15th.
