Published: Wed 24 May 2000 10:11 AM
According to the long range forecasts of the Air Resources Laboratory Super Computer weather model rain clouds appear to be gathering around South Asia Isthmus at the beginning of June.
The image above shows rain in 1mm bands on June 4th 2000 in Pakistan and India. The area under the low pressure system in the top left corner is the area in which a three year drought has left millions of Indians and Pakistanis without food or water. While no rain is yet forecast for the drought affected areas considerable rains are forecast for other parts of South Asia.
