Protests have been continuing on the ice in the far north of Alaska as Greenpeace continues to put pressure on BP Amoco
to drop its Arctic Sea exploration and exploitation programme.
Today a motion will be put to the BP Amoco AGM proposing the Northstar project be abandoned and resources be used
instead on renewable and alternative energy research.
The NZer arrested in Alaska earlier this week, Tanya Popp of Coromandel has been charged with criminal trespass and is
due to appear in court in Deadhorse today.
