So Far So Good On 9999

No incidents reported from 9.09.99 so far, says Y2K Readiness Commission
In its second report on 9.09.99, the Y2K Readiness Commission says no key sector or utility has reported any issues arising from the transition through 9.09.99 as at noon today (10 September).
However, while the transition appears to have gone smoothly for New Zealand so far, the Commission repeats its caution that issues might take some time to show up.
Basil Logan, chairman of the Y2K Readiness Commission said at noon today (10 September):
“There have been no reports so far of incidents arising from 9/9/99 from any of the key service providers. However, as with Y2K, issues may take some time to show up, especially if the problems occur in little used programmes.”
Further reports will only be issued if an incident becomes apparent.
