The New Organic Barrier to Pollen for Hay fever Sufferers
Around 1 in 5 New Zealanders suffer from hay fever and approximately half of sufferers have symptoms for more than four
months of the year. New HayMax organic, drug-free allergen barrier balms provide an effective defence against pollen all
through the season; and are proven in independent studies to trap pollen before it enters the body, and 80% said it
worked in a recent survey.
Hay fever is caused by pollen from trees, grass and weeds, not something that’s easily avoided during the summer months.
However there is a simple way to that you can block it out – by using an allergen barrier balm called HayMax.
HayMax is a drug free organic balm, based on beeswax and sunflower oil, which is applied around the rim of the nostrils
and the bones of the eyes to trap pollens (and other allergens) before they cause havoc in the body. People prone to hay
fever can tolerate a certain amount of pollen without reaction. But once this is exceeded – called the trigger (or
sensitivity) level – the allergic reaction occurs. HayMax works by reducing the amount of pollen entering the body, so
the sufferer can stay symptom free for longer, or even all day.
In an independent survey by leading allergy charity Allergy UK, when asked if HayMax worked, 80% of respondents said
“Yes” [1]. And independent trials by the National Pollen & Aerobiology Research Unit (NPARU) at Worcester University proved that it trapped over one third of pollen grains before
they entered the body, and that it traps all types of pollen as well as dust and pet allergens.[2]
HayMax is drug-free and the ingredients have been chosen to be suitable for children of all ages, and pregnant and
breast-feeding women. These popular balms have now won over 44 awards over the last 11 years. The latest are three gold
awards from a leading parenting website for the Pure, Aloe Vera and Lavender varieties.
All the ingredients are organically grown and the balms are certified organic. Many people choose organic products,
particularly when buying for their children; Lucy Johnson comments, “HayMax helps the children's hayfever.” She goes on
to say “…… it eases the sneezing and running eyes and is organic so they can use it as much as they like.”
HayMax comes in a small handy pot – ideal for a pocket, purse, handbag, school bag or sports bag – and one pot can last
a long time. Although many people a few pots to put all around so they are never stuck without their HayMax.
There are no drowsy side-effects from using HayMax, so it is ideal for when driving, running, cycling or taking part in
other sports, for people with active lifestyles and when preparing for and taking exams.
HayMax organic drug-free allergen barrier balms retail from $13.10 (NZ$) and are available from Unichem, pharmacists,
chemists and health stores across New Zealand and on-line atpharmacydirect.co.nz and larsonspharmacy.co.nz
