Home and Work Drug Detection
For 17 years Kushla Twyford witnessed the effects of drugs and alcohol through her job in law enforcement. Her new venture with Home and Work Drug Detection aims to educate and stop the cycle of using these substances, leading to a happier and healthier community for all.
“Being in the police force I saw a range of effects that Drugs and Alcohol have. I have dealt directly with people under the influence on the job, meth labs and users, and even with those who have been unfortunate enough to live in contaminated houses without their knowledge. I believe that education and being proactive are important steps in changing how we deal with these issues in our community.”
With meth use prevalent, and a booming property market, it is more important than ever to ensure that your home is not contaminated. As a landlord herself, Kushla has a commitment to ensuring that these tests are easily accessible and understood by home owners and tenants alike. “Home and Work Drug detection is a completely independent agency. We are qualified to test homes and vehicles for traces of Methamphetamine, and can give clients the security of knowing that we are providing accurate results efficiently – and for a reasonable price. We want our services to be accessible to all so that more people can take action when necessary. We do this by providing full test results that pinpoint where the problem area is within the house.”
Home and Work Drug Detection also specializes in testing vehicles for traces of meth. “Users and producers of methamphetamine are often mobile, and this often leads to contamination of vehicles. We have the ability to test work fleets and personal vehicles – giving you piece of mind as well as protecting your employees and your assets.”
Workplace drug and alcohol policies help to ensure a safe workplace for all. Home and Work drug detection specialize in drug and alcohol detection on site, as well as running general health checks. Team member Tina Twyford has been a registered nurse for 27 years, and has seen the effects of drug and alcohol abuse through her time spent in the emergency department. Tina states “the effects on those using, as well as those exposed, can lead to serious long-term health problems. With Home and Work Drug Detection we aim to educate and stop the cycle.”
As well as undertaking testing, Home and Work Drug Detection will be running community information evenings to highlight the risks of these substances as well as methods for prevention.
Their aim is to support home buyers to ensure a healthy and contamination free environment for their families, and to assist businesses to provide a safe and drug free work place for employees, employers and the public.
