Update on Grey Base Hospital and Integrated Family Health Centre
Good progress in being made on getting price certainty so construction can begin on the $68 million Grey Base Hospital and Integrated Family Health Centre.
“Detailed design work for the new facility has been completed and the preferred contractor, Fletcher Construction, is aiming to release the tender for sub trades before Easter,” Chair of the West Coast Redevelopment Partnership Group Cathy Cooney says.
“We expect to receive a lump sum fixed price from Fletcher Construction in early May, which will allow us to start construction by the end of May.
“I appreciate the concerns on the West Coast about the delays to the project and I want to thank the community for their ongoing patience throughout this process.”
The new hospital is expected to open in the first quarter of 2018.
