Back Pain costs “ Precious” Millions !!
Four out of five New Zealanders will suffer from Back Pain during their lifetime, costing ACC more than 300 Million dollars per year and being the second most common cause of sick days off work.
Information received from ACC under the official information act
“Payments for treatments entitlements were made on 55,958 individual claims, where the primary injury site is recorded as Back, for the period 1 to 30 November 2011.”
“For the same period 4,620 ACC clients were receiving weekly compensation for back injury, 2,754 of these had received compensation for one year or more.”
The inaugural Back Pain Expo is New Zealand's ONLY expo dedicated to Back and Spinal Health.
The expo is taking place on the weekend of 28-29 April 2012, at the Ellerslie Event Centre, Ellerslie Race Course, Ascot Ave Greenlane East, Auckland. Open from 10am – 4pm each day.
The show offers a full range of Products, Treatments, Therapies, Expert advice and Seminars, all designed to help visitors find a solution to back and posture health.
The Back Pain Expo is the only event where visitors can touch, try, learn, sample, experience and buy a solution to their Back Pain at "show only" specials.
Champion weight lifter and Back Injury Prevention Expert “Precious McKenzie” will be speaking at the expo twice daily at 11am and 2pm as part of a seminar and demonstration programme running from 11am to 4pm.
Show director Peter Clark says “The Back Pain Expo is a one stop shop for anyone living with Back Pain, and Spinal Health problems, and a must visit for Industry Professionals as well as Carers, Friends and Family of Back Pain sufferers”.
