Bennett in Charge at Mental Health
Jeff Bennett has been appointed to the top management job in Health Waikato's Mental Health and Addictions Service.
Currently group manager of Health Waikato's Older Persons and Rehabilitation Service, Mr Bennett has a strong background in health management including positions in Workbridge, Work and Income, and the Ministry of Social Development.
He joined the Waikato District Health Board in 2003 as manager of Te Puna Oranga (Maori Health Service) before moving to the Older Persons and Rehabilitation Service and now to the role as group manager: Mental Health and Addictions Service. He succeeds Chris Harris.
Mr Bennett's iwi affiliation is Ngati Kahungunu ki Wairoa.
He will take up his new role from 14 April.
