Entries invited for top health awards
Entries are invited for New Zealand's premier health and rehabilitation awards, the New Zealand Health Innovations
Awards 2005.
The New Zealand Health Innovation Awards showcase excellence in treatment and rehabilitation, services and processes
that benefit all New Zealanders.
The awards were initiated by the Ministry of Health and ACC in 2003, with Telecom New Zealand now established as the
major business sponsor.
As well as acknowledging and rewarding the achievements of health innovators, the Awards encourage the sharing of ideas
and solutions among health providers across New Zealand.
Applications are invited from individuals, groups and organisations in public health, accident and emergency care,
general practice, disability services, community care, primary care and rehabilitation.
There are three entry categories:
· Individual: 1-5 people · Group: 5-20 people · Organisation: 20 or more people.
The winner of each category receives a cash prize of $8,000.
Category winners are also eligible for the Supreme Award which carries a grand prize of $15,000. A Popular Choice Award
of $5,000 is also presented.
The New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation manages the independent judging process, using international criteria and
evaluation processes.
The winners will be announced at a gala Awards Dinner and presentation in Wellington in June next year.
