Learning Media short-listed for international education marketing award
A B2B sales and marketing app for the iPad has won educational services company Learning Media a prestigious finalist’s place in the American Association of Educational Publishers (AEP) Beacon Educational Marketing Awards.
There are ten Beacon marketing awards and the Learning Media marketing app is one of only two finalists in the ‘Digital Marketing’ category, up against international publishing company McGraw-Hill. The award winners will be announced at a function in Washington D.C in early June.
Learning Media wanted to present its credentials as a world-class provider of education and health literacy services in a fresh and innovative way, reflecting the creative ethos of the company. The result was the design of a dynamic sales tool using a mobile, updateable digital platform in the form of the iPad. The company worked with communications design company Capiche and innovative development company Showcase to develop the app.
The app showcases the company’s recent work in addressing a number of key education and health challenges. A range of case studies present a summary of the challenge of each project, the solution and the results, and include links to websites, video and profiles of key contributors and user testimonials. The case studies can be emailed as PDFs to customers as a lasting record and they can subscribe to updates and e-communications.
The content will be added to on an ongoing basis and can be customised to sector, organisation or account manager as easily as updating a Powerpoint presentation, with and updates “pushed” to individual iPad owners. Because of its B2B focus, the app is not available to all users through Apple’s App Store.
One of the largest and longest-running awards programmes for educational products, the AEP Awards recognise the most innovative and groundbreaking education products internationally. AEP is supported by nearly 400 print and digital publishers of all sizes and in all media.
