Early Childhood Council Mourns Loss of Brian Donnelly
The Early Childhood Council (ECC) notes with sadness the death last week of former New Zealand First MP Brian Donnelly.
Says ECC CEO Sue Thorne: 'The Early Childhood Council worked with Brian from the 1990s until he left Parliament.
'We met with Brian as he acted in a range of roles including Associate Minister of Education, Chair of the Education and Science Select Committee and New Zealand First MP.
'We were very sorry to hear of Brian's death.
'Brian was notable for his continuing preparedness to listen to the concerns of the early childhood sector, and for diligently seeking a middle path on issues of conflict.
'The news of his loss will be met with sorrow by many working in early childhood education.'
