Info Day Offers Future Opportunities
Local schools and the public are invited to take a look into their futures this Wednesday at Whanganui UCOL.
The Whanganui UCOL Info Day will offer a chance to examine the possibilities offered by study, and to take a closer look at UCOL’s programmes.
Whanganui UCOL Acting Principal Julia Pedley says “For anyone thinking about where they might like to be in five years time, what they want to be doing, what they want to be skilled in, and what type of lifestyle they want - this is the perfect opportunity to find out the things they need to know to get them there.”
“As well as teaching our programmes, our staff are accomplished and experienced in their own fields. So for anyone contemplating a change in direction, the chance to have a chat with someone who’s ‘been there, done that’ is a very valuable opportunity.”
Whanganui UCOL Promotions and Events Coordinator Jane Janes says that as well as the opportunity to speak with lecturers, Whanganui UCOL students from each programme will be available to talk with visitors about their experiences at Whanganui UCOL.
“There will be staff and students available to chat, displays and information about our programmes and free healthy food will be on offer all day to nourish healthy thinking.”
Whanganui UCOL Info Day; The Atrium, Whanganui UCOL Matapihi Ki Te Ao Campus, Rutland Street; 10am-3pm Wednesday 27 August.
