WelTec to deliver Massey Diploma of Business courses
Wellington Institute of Technology (WelTec) will deliver Massey University’s New Zealand Diploma of Business courses from this week.
WelTec Chief Executive Dr Linda Sissons says that this is a good move for students and both the Wellington tertiary institutions.
“The New Zealand Diploma of Business is very popular with students who want a broad base of business knowledge and skills,” says Dr Sissons. “Because of this, the programme is ideally suited to being taught in an institute of technology.
“WelTec already offers other former Massey programmes, including those in hospitality and tourism amongst others, under an agreement reached following the merger of the University with the former Wellington Polytechnic.
“WelTec’s practical teaching style and Wellington City Campus will suit students, particularly those transferring over from Massey. We will make sure that the transition for them is as easy as possible.”
WelTec offers more than 20 New Zealand Diploma of Business courses. Students select 12 for a two-year qualification and can do this full-time or part-time. Some courses are available in the evening and at WelTec’s popular summer school.
Check www.weltec.ac.nz for a full list of the WelTec Diploma of Business courses or phone 0800 935 832.
