Deborah Coddington - Press Releases - Education
ACT Education spokesman Deborah Coddington today welcomed the Labour Government's decision to scrap the race-based component in school funding.
Trevor Mallard today announced the ethnicity component of the school decile funding system - first established by the National Party in 1995 - will be removed.
"It's been nine years of political correctness gone mad and I'm pleased that Trevor Mallard has finally seen the light, or be it under pressure.
"ACT is committed to ending race-based funding, and will continue to ensure that all New Zealanders are treated equally, regardless of their race," Miss Coddington said.
