Wellington author, A.J. Ponder’s newest book, Quest, was recently launched at Wellington’s science fiction cafe,
PhotonFlux, with sword fighting, cosplay and a fantasy quiz for all ages. Full of crazy characters and references to
movies and books, Quest is a young adult adventure and a spoof that will appeal to fantasy enthusiasts of all ages.
Fans said Quest’s fantasy launch was similar to the fun they’d had at Overload and Armageddon. Lorraine Williams, a huge

An author of articles and plays for the school journal, the winner of Sir Julius Vogel Awards and national literary
contents, author A.J. Ponder enjoys writing for teens and children. Ponder is best known as the author of Wizard’s Guide
to Wellington, a children’s book that weaves Wellington and some of its landmarks and legends into a fantasy world of
thrills and danger.
Ponder says, “Quest is a celebration of fantasy and fun for the whole family. I loved writing it, and I hope you love
reading it. Fantasy fans will find Easter eggs referencing their favourite books.”
