Any Day Will Be a Good Day at the NZ Flower & Garden Show 2018
Organisers of New Zealand’s premier garden design showcase are on a mission to rekindle our nation’s love affair with gardening by reminding Kiwis that ANY DAY is a good day if you are lucky enough to be in the garden!
Everyone from weekend home and garden warriors, to horticultural, design and art aficionados are urged to mark their diaries now for the 2018 New Zealand Flower and Garden Show, being held for a second time at West Auckland’s The Trusts Arena from 28 November until 02 December 2018.
To ensure that Auckland’s unpredictable weather doesn’t play havoc with visitors plans, organisers have released discounted Earlybird tickets for $28 (Seniors $26) plus booking fees, which for the first time will be valid for ANY DAY of the five day show if purchased by 31 August 2018.
Running over five days, visitors will be offered the chance to experience award-winning garden exhibits, feature floral art installations and displays, indulge in a spot of retail therapy and enjoy gourmet food and beverages. This year, there will also be an increased focus on expanding the show’s indoor exhibits so that there will be plenty for visitors of all ages to see and do, whatever the weather brings.
Popular Show favourites will be back again, including the FLONZI Apprentice Florist of the Year Competition, Yates Community Gardening, Food Demo Zone, as well as Ray White Austar Realty Meet the Experts. New and innovative plants and products will also be on display and available for purchase.
Event Director and multi-award winning garden designer, Kate Hillier, is looking forward to seeing the garden and landscape spectacular come to life again at the Henderson location, and hinted at some other exciting, new show announcements in the coming months.
“We are always seeking out new ways to enhance our visitors Show experience and the new ticket structure is just one of a number of exciting new initiatives we have planned for 2018.”
Hillier credits 2017 Show attendees for the new, flexible ticket structure; “Some of our 2017 visitors said they would like to be able to take advantage of discounted Earlybird tickets and still have the flexibility to decide which day they would attend. Our team set about making that happen and the new ANY DAY ticket was born!”
After 01 September, the early bird discount will not be available however visitors will have the option to select either a weekday or weekend admission when purchasing tickets to the Show.
