AirMiles for gaming platform Uproar delivers a win-win for gamers and game developers and brands
A Kiwi gaming startup Uproar, founded in 2016 rewards gamers for playing games and Game developers use Uproar to promote their games. Uproar.gg is completely free to join and players earn points for completing in-game objectives or taking part in the Uproar community. They can use the points to buy in-game items like skins and currency or gear like peripherals from Razer and SteelSeries.
Even though Uproar.gg’s platform is very new. They have experienced exponential growth in Monthly Active Users, web traffic and overall online engagement. Since the start of this year Uproar.gg’s MAU’s have grown by 1200%. With support for League of Legends, Paladins, Vain Glory, Halo Wars 2, Halo 5, Destiny, Smite and Dota2 added in the last 3 months. Uproar.gg has also continued to build on successful partnerships with Gaming studios such as HiRez and Perfect World.
As CEO and Founder Charlie Meaden explains, “The Uproar.gg platform not only provides an engaging platform for gamers, but it has achieved exceptional success for gaming companies who have advertised on Uproar. 30% of gamers on Uproar try a new game because of our reward system and 42% of our Users interact with our video advertisers.”
It is a continuous challenge for gaming companies to retain their player base. Everyday there are new games and apps. It is common for most games to see an erosion of their player base as time goes on. This is where platforms like Uproar.gg can provide a valuable service to help gaming studios retain their customer base or introduce new games.
“Uproar aims to solve this pain for gaming companies and brands by helping them reach targeted audience, 92% of our users are male between 18 - 25 years old. Also Uproar has achieved proven success by helping gaming companies and brands increase engagement with their existing users. Over half of total users of Uproar, regularly participate regularly in Quests, and over half a million quests have been completed on our platform”, says Meaden.
These days Meaden is also interested in advertising especially how brands and business deliver their messaging without disenfranchising the consumer “Targeting is essentially fixed, anyone can target a group of people and show them something. I believe that people are sleeping on the delivery”. This is where Uproar’s unique platform is delivering results by helping bands and businesses not only target but also engage with users.
