SATISFY YOUR CULINARY CURIOSITY
The Christchurch Food Show is on in April
The much loved Food Show will be taking place in Christchurch’s Horncastle Arena from Friday 7th - Sunday 9th April, and Cantabrian visitors can look forward to a bounty of outstanding culinary experiences.
For inspiration in the kitchen, enjoy cooking demonstrations from New Zealand’s top gastronomes Annabel Langbein, Annabelle White, Jonny Schwass, Michael Van de Elzen and Ray McVinnie. Be sure to take notes as they share their top secrets on cooking extraordinary meals at home.
If you’re feeling virtuous, the Healthy Hub is a mecca of nourishing products and services that promote or support natural health, well being and fitness.
The Artisan Village is perfect if you are looking for an abundance of delicious treats, traditionally handmade in small batches using the highest quality ingredients – fare for the discerning diner. And if your tummy is rumbling, follow your nose and your senses will lead you to the Street Food Alley. This zone will satisfy your hunger with ready-to-eat treats as you rest your feet.
At the Nespresso Discovery zone, you can revive your energy for all else that is on offer. Demonstrating the pairing of coffee with key moments of your day, this area will give coffee lovers a chance to take part in an interactive session, and learn to put together a series of popular coffee creations.
Plus, you can go on a culinary road trip without ever leaving Christchurch. At this year's Food Show you'll see nearly 100 companies from all over the country. Savour all-natural Hong Kong-style morsels from Wellington’s House of Dumplings, taste handmade Artisan spirits from Cardrona Distillery, try coconut yoghurt from Cathedral Cove Naturals, enjoy a fiesta of fromage from Barry’s Bay Cheese from Banks Peninsula, sample wines from Kalex Wines in Central Otago and award-winning beers from Wigram Brewing, and treat yourself to tenderly smoked seafood from The Smokehouse.
Earlybird tickets to The Food Show Christchurch are available from www.foodshow.co.nz. Adult $20, Child (6 – 12) $14, Family Pass (2 Adults and 2 Children) $65, under 5s are free.
