IHC – Thinking of Colin Meads and family

For immediate release
The thoughts and best wishes of the many people associated with IHC New Zealand are with Colin Meads, Verna and their family and friends at this tough time.
The news that Colin is battling pancreatic cancer has saddened us all and we wish him every comfort and time with his family.
“While Colin is best known for rugby, to us he is one of a small number of distinguished IHC New Zealand Life Members recognised for their significant support for people with intellectual disabilities,” says IHC Chief Executive Ralph Jones.
“Colin and Verna have always worked as a team in their dedication to IHC’s cause and accordingly have made a huge difference to the lives of so many people with intellectual disabilities and their families.”
Colin and Verna Meads’ support has included purchasing land and donating it for the use of people with intellectual disabilities, they have been integral in the success of our Calf and Rural Fundraising Scheme and Colin is an important voice for IHC throughout rural New Zealand.
