Duke Scores Live NBA Games
TVNZ announced today the soon-to-be-launched DUKE channel will carry NBA programming, giving Kiwi viewers the choice to
live stream the world’s most popular basketball league or watch on free-to-air TV.
DUKE will air live games, replays and a magazine show during the NBA regular season and delayed games from the NBA
Playoffs leading up to the conference finals and Finals.
Jeff Latch, TVNZ’s Director of Content, said, “We’re pleased to be bringing the remarkable pace and athleticism of the
NBA to DUKE as the competition heads to the playoffs. The NBA is in a class of its own – it’s made household names of
LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and our very own Steven Adams. We think this news will go down really well with viewers.”
DUKE’s live streaming will give fans greater viewing choice. “It puts the ball in the viewer’s court,” said Latch. “You
can catch the courtside action as a live stream on your mobile device or desktop or watch on TV. And however you watch
with us, it’s all available free-to-view.”
Launching March 20, DUKE will be live-streamed at www.watchduke.co.nz and free-to-view on Freeview 13 and also on SKY.
Before DUKE launches, TVNZ’s pop up channel on Freeview channel 13 will be screening NBA games beginning this Wednesday
2 March, Chicago Bulls v Miami Heat, 13:30 (NZ Time)
