Brands flock to Vevo New Zealand
22 April 2015: Vevo, the world's leading music and entertainment platform, has continued to increase its presence in the New Zealand market after securing some of the world's biggest brand names to join its advertising portfolio in 2015.
Eleven new clients have signed up with Vevo this year including Coca-Cola, Disney, Village Roadshow, SKY TV, Samsung, Kellogg’s, Kimberley-Clark and Massey University.
The impressive performance of Vevo’s viewing figures has proved extremely attractive to advertisers. New Zealanders are watching significantly more music videos per capita than Australians – 6.2 vs. 4.3 – and the site reached a peak of 32 million streams in the month of March, up 12 per cent on February's figures. Desktop still remains the biggest platform for people looking for a music video fix, however, mobile is driving further growth with mobile streams up 110 per cent from 2014.
Eddy Whatt, Head of Neo@Ogilvy said, “Working with Vevo has enabled Kimberley Clark to engage with our target audience in an extremely cost effective way, within quality content. The results to date have exceeded our expectations and we look forward to continuing to work with Vevo in the future.”
Brendan Muller, Country Manager, Vevo, New Zealand said, "We are thrilled to have such a strong roster of clients already on board and delighted to see them achieve great results over the first quarter of 2015. The phenomenal growth in the Vevo audience, driven by mobile views along with the safe, premium nature of our platform, has certainly captured their attention.
"It is fantastic that local advertisers are showing the same faith in Vevo as their colleagues have around the world. We are looking forward to further collaborations in the coming months and are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as Vevo continues to cement its position as the ultimate destination for music fans and advertisers alike across New Zealand."
NZ’s favourite artists are dominated by females, with Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor, Katy Perry, Sia and Ariana Grande the top streamed videos so far in 2015.
Vevo is represented across New Zealand and Australia by music and marketing business, Authentic Entertainment.
