It’s not every day you get the opportunity to “hunt” your own meat and in your own backyard, but with The Great Monteith’s Meatpack Hunt you can do just that.
The latest mobile app from Monteith’s uses augmented reality to give punters the opportunity to “hunt” duck, stag, lamb and beef, everywhere from their local bar to their office. By hunting a full meat pack you go into the draw to win one of hundreds of premium Gourmet Direct meat packs for the BBQ.
The app is available now and free to download via the App Store for I-phone or Google Play for Android. All you'll need to get started is a smartphone, a steady hand and a good appetite.
“Food, beer and cider is one of life’s greatest combos and few deliver it better than New Zealand’s favourite craft beer and cider brand Monteith’s,” says Dave Openshaw, Monteith’s Marketing Manager.
“The Monteith’s Meatpack Hunt app gives us an opportunity to invite our consumers to keep exploring and discover the perfect meat to match our wide range of Monteith's beers and ciders”, he says.
Monteith’s fan and Chef Sean Connolly couldn’t agree more.
“The vast array of Monteith’s beers and ciders on offer means there’s something for every taste and plate,” says Connolly.
“'My personal favourite is Monteith’s Crushed Apple Cider with venison sausage”, he says.
Additional game fea
tures include the capability to challenge your mates to find out who is the best shot, plus the race to hunt the game's biggest prizes, the Golden Stags, to win an Electrolux BBQ and meat package.
To celebrate the launch of The Great Monteith’s Meatpack Hunt, Monteith’s are bringing the hunt to the city. Visit the Downtown Auckland hunting ground to play the game, win prizes and sample a range of Monteith’s beer, cider and food matches as prepared by Sean Connolly.
