Carlton Party Hire: New Zealand ideal place for international events
Carlton Party Hire showed it is a firm believer in New Zealand being an ideal destination to host international events
by once again getting involved in Taste of Auckland.
The fifth instalment of Taste of Auckland took place on November 14-17, with hundreds of visitors sampling great-tasting
food and wine during their time at Victoria Park.
As it has done for the last three years, Carlton Party Hire – which is New Zealand’s biggest party hire, events and
exhibition company – was once again on deck to provide marquees, furniture and signage for the four-day event.
Managing director at Carlton Hire Group, Suzanne Young, believes it is important that her company supports a popular
event like Taste, which takes place in 18 different cities around the world.
“I think New Zealand is just a fantastic place to run international events like this,” she says.
“Being an events company, it’s great to deal with an international event organiser because New Zealand has got some
beautiful scenery and has a lot to offer.
“[Taste] is a quality food and wine festival and also helps generate a lot of spending in Auckland.”
Taste is not the only major event Carlton Party Hire and its two affiliated companies – Exhibition Hire Services and
Displayworks – are involved in.
Carlton Party Hire, which has branches in Auckland, Hamilton and Wellington, had a presence at Big Boys Toys in Auckland
earlier this month and has also provided marquees for the Auckland Home Show, Round the Bays, Auckland Seafood Festival,
Diwali Festival of Lights, Polyfest and Pacifica.
“We’re involved in one way or another when it comes to some of the major events in New Zealand,” says Young.
“The reason for that is we’re the biggest eventing company and if another, smaller company is doing the event, they
usually don’t have the stock to meet demand.”
Carlton Party Hire also does work on behalf of major businesses and organisations, such as ANZ, SKYCITY, Auckland City
Council, Vector Arena and Trusts Stadium.
