UPDATE: Australasian Fashion Organisers Pay Up $10,000 Prize
Dunedin-based fashion designer Emily Scott has finally received the $10,000 prize money she was entitled to after winning the inaugural Australian Graduates Fashion Week (AGFW) held in Sydney in November, 2012.
This follows months of uncertainty on whether Emily would in fact receive the payment, which was originally promised before Christmas.
“I'm very grateful to the AGFW that the promise was honoured and am now looking forward to moving on and concentrating on my career,” says Emily. “The prize money will certainly help me do this!”
The Bachelor of Design (Fashion) graduate from Otago Polytechnic beat out 31 others from New Zealand and Australia to win Australian Graduates Fashion Week, thanks to her colourful and progressive collection.
