TV2KidsFest Box Office opens
Tickets to Christchurch’s biggest children’s festival TV2KidsFest go on sale this weekend so grab the kids and head to the CBS Canterbury Arena Ticketek outlet for the official opening of the TV2KidsFest Box Office!
This Saturday 18 June 2011, entertain the kids from 9am – 11am with special appearances by TV2KidsFest mascot Coolstuff, Shad Rutherford the magician, crazy character balloons and fun kids music too.
Paul Kean, Christchurch City Council’s KidsFest Coordinator encourages families to join the box office opening as many TV2KidsFest events offer limited spaces and sell out quickly.
“Saturday is a good chance to get in early and reserve your child’s place for some popular events which can only be booked through Ticketek. And while you queue, the kids can enjoy free entertainment with Coolstuff and crew.”
TV2KidsFest takes place 16 - 30 July with over 140 fun events and activities throughout Christchurch, Banks Peninsula, Selwyn and Waimakariri districts with the 2011 special theme of ‘Celebrating Community’.
Christchurch City Council will host the main events including the official opening of the festival at the ‘Light and Flight’ Breeze Lantern Parade; The Press Dogs Day Out; Singapore Airline’s StarFest, CoolStuff’s Variety Show, and the return of Bikes4Fun. All Christchurch City Council events are free to the public except for a gold coin fee for Bikes4Fun.
Join the TV2KidsFest Box Office event, 9am – 11am at CBS Canterbury Arena, Jack Hinton Drive, Addington. By purchasing tickets at Saturday’s official box office opening, you can pay as little as $1.00 per ticket transaction fee up to a maximum fee of $8.00, no matter how many tickets you buy. Queue inside if wet and café will be open. Tickets are also available from Northland Mall Ticketek or by calling 0800 TICKETEK (0800 842 538).
For all other TV2KidsFest events, follow the booking instructions listed with the event.
