Pumpkin Patch Treat the All Star Cheerleading Elite
Two New Zealand success stories today announce their union as Pumpkin Patch provides good cheer in the form of around
300 tracksuits to the record-breaking All Star Cheerleaders’ Elite team.
“We wanted to recognise the international success of Kimberley Ramsay, an inspirational Kiwi woman who singlehandedly
built a cheerleading empire!” says a spokesperson for Pumpkin Patch.
Like All Star Cheerleaders, Pumpkin Patch was the culmination of one woman’s dream. 20 years ago one woman started
Pumpkin Patch, which has now grown into a very large multi-national success story.
In 1999, Ramsay left a successful legal practice to provide Auckland’s Harbour NPC Rugby team with a cheerleading squad
– one that incorporated skilled stunts, pyramids, tumbling, cheers and chants and even included men in the lineup. Her
creation, All Star Cheerleaders, is now the biggest cheerleading school in the Southern Hemisphere and recently brought
home Bronze from the World Cheerleading Championships.
“We’re very excited about being spotlighted by Pumpkin Patch to receive a generous clothing sponsorship,” says Ramsay.
“I’ve always been inspired by the Pumpkin Patch success story so it’s a special honour on a personal level, as well as a
terrific honour for the team, who continue to train so hard.”
