What's New With Sandwiches
Kia Ora,
First up a big thanks to everyone that came along to the club over the weekend. Friday was a fantastic showcase with a serious party in both rooms! Awesome to have Phil Brokelmann and Simon Flower absolutely rocking the bar. (check us out this Saturday as Tane, Bryce, and Wade will be doing more of the same!)
What's new?
In association with Backspacer we are launching a new weekly drum and bass session. Selection - Every Thursday from 11pm, and entry is Free! (The Rumpus Room with 2 for 1 pizzas and DJs Wade and Stu will still be running every week as well up until 11, so why not come down earlier and make a whole night of it)
Friday:
The drum and bass party of the year!
The Showgun Awdio Tour 2009 featuring DJ Friction and SP:MC with DJ Break and MC Lowqui (UK)
We're really excited about this massive double header with 2 of the UKs biggest DJs and 2 of the scenes most in demand MCs, and you just know it's going to be special when they've got this to say:
"Sandwiches in Wellington is one of my favorite clubs. I play clubs all the time that look like Sandwiches, but there's something about Sandwiches. The vibe is just awesome and everyone is so, I feel like I'm their long lost
brother; you know what I mean? I literally walk in and the reception is always amazing, I start playing and everyone just parties, I look forward to that place every year; it's just the vibe down there."  - DJ Friction
Tickets still available for $40+bf. Don't let everyone else tell you how good it was on Monday - get yours here - now!
Saturday:
A big Monkey Business and friends night in.
Tonight we were to be hosting house music icon Terry Farley of Junior Boys Own fame from London. Unfortunately on Monday we received the sad news that Terry has been admitted to hospital in the UK and so has had to cancel his upcoming tour. Obviously we are disappointed that he is unable to travel, but health comes first and we wish him and his family all the best with a speedy recovery.
The good news is that the party is still on, and we have roped in local legend DJ Dunsta and Stereotype Lads Vernon and Johnny Kingdom to play alongside Monkey Business DJs Bryce, Wade and guest Tane.
The best news it that entry to the party is now FREE ALL NIGHT!
Come down after the All Whites game - hopefully to celebrate our entry into the world cup - and party with us for free.
Lastly, a big happy 30th birthday shout out to our head chef Bevan from all the Sammies team! Come down on Saturday and join us, and him for a few celebratory beverages.
Have a great second half of the week and we'll see you on the weekend!
