Radio Comeback King on a ROCK-ing roll....
Fresh from winning 'Best Metropolitan Breakfast Show' at the 2009 NZ Radio Awards, PAUL EGO from The Rock’s Morning Rumble returns to the stage tonight to star in his first solo stand up show in more than nine years - The Paul Ego Comeback Special.
The prestigious radio win has reminded EGO what it feels like to be on top - like in in 2000 when he was literally the biggest thing hitting our comedy stages.
“To win best breakfast show for the second year running was a great buzz but this stand up show is all about getting back to being PAUL EGO, the Comedian and Singer .  I have always loved how those big stage musicals crowbar a song into the story at pivotal moments... so that’s what I’m gonna do at random points in my show, let the tunes do the talking..." says Paul.
This is Paul’s first full length show this millennium and he is back for one simple reason - to talk the talk and croon his way back to the top of the home-grown comedy ladder.
“Paul Ego has enormous charm and a lovely mellow voice, especially when he pays tribute to The Crooners, singing a catalogue of diseases in the style of Dean Martin that is as sweet as any love song” ( NZ Herald).
Don’t miss the guy who blew Wayne Brady and everyone else away at the Cadbury Crunchie Comedy Gala this year, Mr PAUL EGO.
It's THE PAUL EGO COMEBACK SPECIAL. Where were you when Ego made his Comeback?
