News Release
Sunday March 29th 2009 saw the testing and trialing of Alan Thoresen's Kawasaki ZX-14 Black Thunder at the Taupo Drag Strip and Motorcycle Extravaganza event.
The Kawasaki ZX- 14 has had initial modifications incorporated both for Drag Racing and for Bonneville Speed Week 2009.
The Modifications include an extended Swing Arm, which is sealed and carrys the air tank for the airshifter, hence eliminating the external tank and allowing for more streamlining.
The New Extended Swing Arm is also fitted with a bracket which allows the Nitrous Oxide Bottle ( NOS) to be concealed out of the airflow, which will be of benefit in the highspeed runs on the Bonneville Salt Flats.
Bonneville Speed Week is scheduled for August 7th through to the 14th 2009.
