[Auckland, February XX, 2008] MySpace.com today announced that one of New Zealand’s most celebrated comedians Rhys Darby and will star and host MySpace’s very first stand-up comedy show for MySpace users - for FREE.
Held in a secret Auckland location on March 3rd, Kiwi’s keen to see Darby and an all-star comedy line-up can only discover the venue and ticket allocation details via MySpace bulletins when they add www.myspace.com/secretshowsnz  as a ‘friend’. Entry is strictly limited and works on a first come first served basis.
Best known as the lovable but inept Murray from HBO’s Flight of the Conchords, Darby
will be joined by some of New Zealand’s biggest comedy names: Paul Ego; winner of the 2000 Billy T award and host of Pulp Comedy 2001, Jeremy Corbett; host of More FM breakfast in Auckland and TV3’s Deal or No Deal, and Brendhan Lovegrove; winner of the inaugural Fred award for outstanding contribution to NZ and a fixture on the New Zealand, Australian and UK comedy circuits.
This MySpace Secret Show in March will be the first opportunity New Zealanders’ have to witness some of the shows Awesomeness International producers Rhys and Rosie Carnahan Darby will unveil at the official NZ International Comedy Festival in May 2009.
