Hutton To Race With Tony Kart At Macau
Thirteen year old Kings College, Auckland, student Arie Hutton is about to make his first step on to the international karting stage. Arie will contest the 2008 CIK-FIA Asia-Pacific Championships for Juniors (KF3) in Macau on 28-30 November with the Italian Tony Kart team.
Arie will drive alongside Tony Kart Junior Team members Sergi Sirotkin (Russia) and Gustavo Menezes (Sweden). The KF3 field includes drivers from Europe, Japan and Asia including Danil Kvyat, (Russia), 3rd in 2008 CIK-FIA European Championships and Carlos Sainz Jr, (Spain) 3rd at this event last year and 7th in the 2008 CIK-FIA European Championships.
"This will be a big step up" said Arie. "The field is full of top, experienced drivers from Europe, however I know the Tony Kart Team are one of the best and I am really looking forward to the competition. I wish to acknowledge the tremendous support we have received from the new NZ Tony Kart distributor, Darren Biggs of Almond Engine Developments. Without Darren' support and the assistance of Roberta Zerbinati at Tony Kart in Italy this drive would not have been made possible. I would also like to acknowledge the assistance of the event host, the Macau Autosports Club, which is providing hotel accommodation in Macau.
"I am also pleased to introduce my new primary sponsorship partner, UTi. I will carry the UTi brand for the first time in Macau and on my new Tony Kart EVR in New Zealand during 2009. I would like to thank the team at Uti New Zealand for this tremendous support."
UTi is a global company specializing in the provision of world class international forwarding, customs brokerage and logistic services. UTi does this through a team of proficient and talented people who are obsessed with client service. UTi has offices in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch.
Arie will join the Tony Kart NZ Racing Team for 2009. Tony Kart is distributed in New Zealand by Almond Engine Developments, Napier.
Arie is also supported by Spark Services, engine preparation and Scutum paint protection film.
