Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra Gig
After three years, we held our last 'first Thursday of the month' gig at Deluxe Cafe last week. But we have preserved these legendary morning sessions forever in the form of a brand new music video, conceived, directed, shot and edited by our pal Tim Capper.
We are ecstatic to present the world premiere of the 'It's a Heartache' video, starring Deluxe Cafe and many Wellington locals, *this Saturday night, 15th November, at Mighty Mighty Bar*, upstairs in Cuba Mall. We are also excited to present our friend from San Francisco, Uni & Her Ukelele, who has been strumming her way across the world.
Door sales apply, and the entertainment starts from 9pm sharp!
*MIGHTY MIGHTY - Saturday 15th November Uni & Her Ukelele (a petite, soulful, wacky, sexy firecracker direct from San Francisco!) MC Griffin Point (His fake-moustache hip-hop is Griffilicious!) The world premiere of the Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra's 'Heartache' music video (directed by Tim Capper) and dancing 'til close with the Jouxjie Ladies (Wellington's jouxjiest DJs) 9pm start
* What they say about Uni & Her Ukelele: "The overall effect is the musical and sartorial equivalent of sucking on a jawbreaker while drinking whiskey straight from the bottle." San Francisco Weekly
