Unique New Zealand fishing travel guides published
A series of travel guides designed specifically for anglers visiting New Zealand in pursuit of superb trout amid
magnificent scenery have been published online by nzfishing.com.
The high quality publications are delivered by email so visitors get immediate delivery, can print the them before they
leave home, use them to plan their fishing trip, and take them (in print or digitally) when they travel.
Each of the six guides takes anglers to the best fishing waters in a different part of the country. Rather like a Lonely
Planet guide to New Zealand fly fishing, each publication includes advice on which lakes and rivers to fish, a suggested
itinerary, and recommendations for where to stay, plus details of fishing guides, cafes and other points of interest in
the area. While being designed with overseas visitors in mind, the guides are also very useful for New Zealand anglers
keen to explore New Zealand's wonderful easy-to-access freshwater fishing.
A free guide for anglers planning to visit New Zealand is also available. It includes a wealth of useful information
such as when to come, choosing where to go to fish, what gear to bring (and what not to bring), licences and
regulations, and how to make the most of the fishing.
The guides of around 40 pages each were developed by the husband and wife team at nzfishing.com. Doug Stevens is a keen
fisherman with decades of experience exploring New Zealand waters, while Bev is a document designer whose skill in
presenting information clearly and simply was recognised in the 2008 Plain English Awards.
